New iPhone pocket!

Friday, December 14, 2007

Since our iPhone kept slipping from our fingers and dropping to the floor, I decided that I was going to make one of my cell pockets to protect it. I made it with a 100% wool, swirled-grey fabric on the outside and a beautiful olive green felt on the inside. No hidden pocket on this one, but I did add a fake felt iPhone on the front with criss-crossed eyes (to suggest the phone being dead from being dropped so many times), hand-sewed a line of white embroidery thread on one side to give it a "patched up" look, then added my new fabric label on the back. It turned out pretty nice and it fits his iPhone like a glove (snug so it won't drop out the top, but easy enough to squeeze from the bottom and pop out). It also fits our iPod, but is a bit tall for it. I will work on making a few more of these and post them to my Etsy shop soon.
